Community Bank & Trust announced that Marlon R. Mayfield has been named senior vice president for the bank’s information technology and operations support division.

With more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry, Mayfield has worked in various positions for community banks including director of information services prior to joining CBT. His current position involves project management for IT for several branches of CBT across the state of Georgia, as well as for branches of South Carolina Bank and Trust in South Carolina.

A native of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Mayfield is a graduate of North Georgia College & State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He also holds an Associate of Science degree in computer science from Gainesville State College.

Mayfield and his wife Kris reside in Gainesville with their two children and are members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He is the son of Virginia Mayfield and the late Richard Mayfield of Flowery Branch, Georgia.
